Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

The biggest surprise took place in Cranbourne where host Cavaliers (5-1) crushed league's leader Wildcats (6-2) 96-77 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Wildcats. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Casey looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American center Samantha Bowman (188, college: CWU) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Forward Nyaduoth Lok (178-2000, agency: Crossover Management) chipped in 26 points and 6 rebounds. Lil Dart produced 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cavaliers have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Casey moved-up to second place, which they share with East Perth E. and BA CoE. Eltham W. at the other side dropped to the second position with two games lost. They share it with Diamond VE. They were replaced at the leadership position by Sandringham S.. Eltham W. will play next round against Waverley F. trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Casey will try to continue on its current victory against first ranked Sandringham S. in Cheltenham.
Undefeated Sabres (7-1) recorded its first loss in Pasadena. Hosts were defeated by fifth ranked Flames (4-4) 69-59. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Sabres. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Cali Clark (190, college: SDSU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 10 points and 19 rebounds. Maddy Hinton contributed with 20 points for the winners. Power forward Tayla Brazel (182-2004) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for Sturt S.Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Norwood F. maintains fifth place with 4-4 record, which they share with Forestville E. and Keilor T. Sturt S. at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. They share it with Sandringham S.. Norwood F. will play against C.Districts L. (#8) in Gawler in the next round. Sturt S. will play on the road against the league's leader W.Adelaide B. (#1) in Woodville and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Southern T. lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the seventh position with five games lost. They share it with Sydney C.. Forestville E. will meet N.Adelaide R. (#10) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Southern T. will play against Woodville W. in Flinders Park and hope to secure a win.

Northside W. lost to undefeated Cairns D. in a home game 73-93. Mackay smashed Ipswich F. on the road 90-66. SC Phoenix lost to undefeated Cairns D. on its own court 68-88. Kalamunda ES was smashed by Rockingham F. in a road game 112-81. East Perth E. won against Warwick S. at home 100-94. Lakeside L. was outscored by Joondalup W. on the opponent's court 89-59. Everything could happen in Gawler at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Lions and 9th ranked Rockets had identical 1-6 record. This time Lions used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Adelaide 80-73 on Saturday night. C.Districts L. looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for forward Tiahna Sears (178-1999, college: N.Alabama) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 16 rebounds. American guard Grace Stone (180, college: Princeton) helped adding 20 points and 6 assists. At the losing side Abbey Jones responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and guard Jordyn Freer (176-2001) scored 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four C.Districts L. and five N.Adelaide R. players scored in double figures. C.Districts L. maintains eighth place with 2-6 record, which they share with Dandenong R.
