Guard Zac Triplett (196-2001, college: Portland) contributed with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Logan T. keeps a position of league leader, which they share with SC Phoenix and Cairns M. Brisbane C. at the other side dropped to the fourth place with one game lost. They share the position with SD Spartans. They were replaced at the leadership position by Norths B.. Brisbane C. will play next round against SD Spartans trying to make it back to the top of the standings. It will be a derby game for which supporters look forward to, where their team will travel locally in Brisbane to the arena of SD Spartans. The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Marlins as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Marlins smashed bottom-ranked South West Metro Pirates in Cairns 109-69. The former international swingman Kody Stattmann (202-2000, college: Virginia) scored 33 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Luca Yates chipped in 15 points and 13 rebounds during the contest.
