State League Regular Season is still in too early stage and there may be still significant changes in the standings. The round was exceptionally exciting as three games ended with a tiny margin. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

There was a change at the State League leadership position after last games. The most important game of round 4 took place in Woodville between two undefeated teams of League where West Adelaide Bearcats crushed Central District Lions (0-1) 95-63 on Saturday night. West Adelaide Bearcats shot 21 for 33 from the free-throw line, while Central District Lions only scored four points from the stripe. West Adelaide Bearcats had a 34-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Central District Lions helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of Nikolas Desantis who helped to win the game recording 28 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and American guard Nate Sheppard (198, college: Malone) who added 28 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American point guard Bijan Johnson (183-1997, college: NM Military) responded with 15 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. West Adelaide Bearcats (1-0) left bottom position moving up to fourth place in League. Central District Lions at the other side still closes the standings with one game lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Wyndham D.. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Forestville Eagles as it allowed them to take a leadership position in League. Forestville Eagles smashed bottom-ranked Noarlunga City Southern Tigers in Goodwood 94-68. It was a key game for the top position in League. The winners were led by American forward Greg Mays (203-1993, college: Green Bay) who scored that evening 24 points and 8 rebounds and Fiston Ipassou supported him with 14 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists. Forestville Eagles' coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 7 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists by Vionte Daniels did not help to save the game for Noarlunga City Southern Tigers. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Noarlunga City Southern Tigers at the other side still closes the standings with one game lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

N.Adelaide R. defeated Woodville W. on its own court 82-80. Sutherland S. was smashed by Canberra G. in a road game 112-75. Winless Bankstown B. lost to Norths Bears at home 61-78. Illawarra H. 2 lost to undefeated Albury W.B. on the opponent's court 93-101. Maitland M. managed to beat Hills H. in a home game 87-84. Inner WB defeated Newcastle H. on the road 73-62. Cockburn C. smashed East Perth E. on its own court 98-54. Perth R. destroyed Eastern Suns in Northbridge 85-52. Perry Lakes H. managed to outperform Warwick S. at home 93-91. Joondalup W. managed to beat Willetton T. on the opponent's court 75-66. Goldfields G. defeated Lakeside L. in a home game 90-74. Winless Mandurah M. lost to undefeated Rockingham F. on the road 84-90. Winless SW Slammers lost to undefeated Geraldton B. on its own court 62-94.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 20 points and 5 rebounds by Anthony Kimble of McKinnon C..

Chelsea G. - Blackburn V. 74-87

Rather expected game in Melbourne where bottom-ranked Gulls (0-6) were defeated by fifth ranked Vikings (2-2) 87-74 on Saturday. Edward Bourke fired a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. American guard Denzel Brito (185-1991, college: Loyola, MD) chipped in 10 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Point guard Kirk Smith (178) produced 19 points and 6 rebounds and American Corey Standerfer (201-1988, college: York, NE) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Vikings maintains fifth position in League with 2-2 record. Loser Gulls still closes the standings with six games lost. Vikings will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Gulls will play against Hume City Broncos (#6) in Tullamarine and hope to get finally their first victory.

Oskar Jones chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. Four Devils players scored in double figures. Coach 's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. James Guley produced 20 points and 7 rebounds and Carson Crowe added 12 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Devils maintains first position in League with 6-0 record.
