The round was exceptionally exciting as nine games ended with a tiny margin. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Second defeat of league's leader Forestville Eagles (11-2) against third ranked Woodville Warriors (9-4) 81-67 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the ten-game winning streak of Forestville Eagles. Woodville W. outrebounded Forestville E. 44-31 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Woodville W. looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Bryce Sloan (193, college: Azusa Pacific) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Mali-French Tim Troussel (203-1995, college: Newman) contributed with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. American forward Greg Mays (203-1993, college: Green Bay) answered with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds for Forestville E.Woodville Warriors have a solid series of four victories in a row. Woodville W. maintains third place with 9-4 record having just six point less than leader BA CoE. Forestville E. at the other side dropped to the second position with two games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by BA CoE. Forestville E. will play next round against Norwood F. trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Woodville W. will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked S.Adelaide P. in Park Holme.
The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Central District Lions as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Central District Lions smashed 10th ranked Rockets in Gawler 120-87. Guard Koen Sapwell (193-1999, college: CS Monterey) stepped up and scored 24 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and Kalani Sapwell chipped in 14 points and 8 assists. At the losing side forward Koop McCalop (-1994) responded with 29 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Central District Lions (12-1) have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. As mentioned above they took over a top position. N.Adelaide R. lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Norwood F.. N.Adelaide R. will play next round against W.Adelaide B. trying to get back on the winning streak. C.District L. will try to continue on its current victory against eighth ranked Southern T. at Morphett Vale.
Leading Excellence (14-4) recorded its fourth loss in Canberra on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by eleventh ranked Crusaders (7-8) 76-68. Garric Young nailed 24 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Rio Bruton came up with 9 points and 7 rebounds for BA CoE in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cent.Coast C. moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Excellence still keeps top position with four games lost. Cent.Coast C. will meet at home higher ranked Sutherland (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BA CoE will have a break next round.

Albury W.B. lost to Sydney C. in a home game 82-100. Cent.Coast C. was outscored by Canberra B. on the road 52-98. Penrith was rolled over Newcastle F. on its own court 63-98. Hills H. crushed HKBA Spiders in Baulkham Hills 89-70. Brisbane C. was beaten by Mackay at home 92-103. Northside W. won against Cairns M. on the opponent's court 102-91. No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked South Adelaide Panthers (8-5) beat 6th ranked Sturt Sabres (5-8) in Pasadena 97-85 on Saturday. S.Adelaide P. had a 36-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. Forward Lloyd McVeigh (198-2003, college: Buffalo) nailed a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side and American forward Chris Brandon (203, college: NKU, agency: Elevate Sports Alliance) accounted for 26 points and 6 rebounds. Brandon is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four South Adelaide Panthers players scored in double figures. American guard Jordan Forbes (193-1998, college: Salem) came up with 28 points and 4 assists and the other American import guard Sharif Black (185-1996, college: Bemidji St., agency: Crossover Management) added 24 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Sturt S. in the defeat. S.Adelaide P. maintains fourth place with 8-5 record. Sturt S. lost their third game in a row. They keep the sixth position with eight games lost. S.Adelaide P. will meet higher ranked Woodville W. (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sturt S. will play against Eastern M. in Mt. Barker and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Very predictable result when second ranked Hawks (11-3) edged 14th ranked Bulls (4-10) in Wollongong 98-95 on Saturday. However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Illawarra H. 2 looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Hawks. Illawarra H. 2 maintains second place with 11-3 record having just nine point less than leader BA CoE, which they share with Sydney C. Inner WB lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the twelfth position with ten games lost. They share it with Lakeside L.. Illawarra H. 2 will meet Canberra B. (#4) on the road in the next round.
