This is still too early stage of the Regular Season in State League and we should expect many changes in upcoming rounds. The round was exceptionally exciting as three games ended with a tiny margin. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
Group Big VMcKinnon C. - Wyndham D. 99-112Cougars (3-1) recorded a loss in McKinnon. Hosts were defeated by Devils (4-0) 112-99. Devils made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American point guard Maurice Howard (185-1997, college: Alcorn St., agency: Green Sports Management) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. His fellow American import forward Kavione Green (195, college: Bloomfield) helped adding 25 points and 9 rebounds. Howard is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Devils players scored in double figures. Cougars' coach tested eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Devils will play against Camberwell (#4) in Melbourne in the next round. Cougars will play on the road against Steelers in Western Port and hope to get back on the winning track. American point guard Christopher Elder (180-1989, college: St.Francis, IL) accounted for 19 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side. Elder is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. American guard Troyce Manassa (193-1993, college: SSU) came up with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import forward Naaman Hightower (201-1994, college: Sonoma St.) added 15 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Steelers in the defeat.
