The round was exceptionally exciting as three games ended with a tiny margin. Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Dolphins as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Dolphins defeated 11th ranked Rollers in Cairns 87-78. Cairns D. dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Rollers's 32. American forward Mia Loyd (181-1994, college: N.Dakota, agency: LBM Management) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Forward Summah Evans (183, college: Clemson) contributed with 24 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. American guard Ariana Moorer (172-1991, college: Virginia) answered with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for Gold Coast R.Rollers' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Undefeated Dolphins (7-0) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Gold Coast R. lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth place with seven games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
Another interesting game for Forestville E. (7-5) which played on the court of 4th placed S.Adelaide P. (6-6). Sixth ranked Forestville E. crushed hosts 104-76. It was a great evening for swingman Samantha Simons (188-2000, college: SMC) who led her team to a victory with a triple-double by scoring 30 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists. Sydney Hunter helped adding 16 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Bianca Stasinowsky (179-2004) responded with 18 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Forestville E. moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. S.Adelaide P. lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. A very close game took place in Eltham between Wildcats and Diamond Valley Eagles. Second ranked Wildcats (11-2) got a very close home victory over 3rd placed Diamond Valley Eagles (9-4). Wildcats managed to escape with a 1-point win 82-81 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Diamond Valley Eagles. It was an exceptional evening for Rebecca Pizzey who led the winners and scored 24 points, 26 rebounds and 5 blocks. Wildcats' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Alexandra Sharp came up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 17 rebounds for Diamond VE in the defeat. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Wildcats. Eltham W. maintains second place with 11-2 record having just one victory less than leader Sandringham S. Diamond VE at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with BA CoE. Eltham W. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Diamond VE will play against Waverley F. (#8) in Mount Waverley and hope to secure a win.
