The round was exceptionally exciting as five games ended with a tiny margin. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Top ranked Excellence (10-2) recorded its second loss in Alexandria on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by third ranked Sydney City Comets (7-3) 84-75. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. The best player for the winners was guard Biwali Bayles (185-2002, college: Hawaii, agency: Sport Avenir) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists. The former international guard William Hickey (194-1999) chipped in 25 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was international Jacob Furphy (195-2006) who recorded 22 points. Excellence's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Sydney City Comets have a solid series of four victories in a row. Sydney C. moved-up to second place, which they share with 4 other teams. BA CoE at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. Sydney C. is looking forward to face Hills H. (#11) in Baulkham Hills in the next round and are hoping to win another game. BA CoE will play at home against the league's second-placed Sutherland (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Important game to mention about took place in Booval. Fourth ranked Force (3-1) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 3rd placed Townsville Heat (3-3) 82-80 on Saturday evening. It was a good game for American swingman Lamar Patterson (196-1991, college: Pittsburgh) who led his team to a victory with 29 points and 7 rebounds. Ngor Nai contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American-German Grant Teichmann (191-1996, college: C-N, agency: Elevate Sports Alliance) answered with 21 points and 5 assists for Townsville H.Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Force have a solid series of three victories in a row. Ipswich F. moved-up to second place, which they share with SC Phoenix. Townsville H. at the other side dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. Ipswich F. will play against Logan T. (#12) in Loganholme in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Townsville H. will have a break next round.
Very important is a home loss of third ranked Cavaliers (7-4) against tenth ranked Tigers (6-4) on Saturday night. Host Cavaliers were edged by Tigers in a tough game in Cranbourne 81-83. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Cavaliers. Harrison Froling stepped up with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. The best for the losing side was Nate Roberts with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 17 rebounds. Melbourne T. moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Maitland and Manly Warr. Loser Cavaliers keeps the third position with four games lost. They share it with Joondalup W.. Melbourne T. will meet Geelong U. (#15) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Casey will play against Keilor T. (#13) in Melbourne and hope to secure a win.

Perth R. was destroyed by Joondalup W. on the opponent's court 114-87. Geraldton B. managed to outperform Warwick S. in a home game 100-87. Cockburn recorded a loss to Mandurah on the road 95-93. Perth R. was defeated by Willetton T. on its own court 76-84. Joondalup W. was beaten by Rockingham F. in a road game 116-109. Goldfields G. won against Lakeside L. at home 79-78. Perry Lakes H. managed to outperform Kalamunda ES on the opponent's court 96-93.

Everything could happen in Pasadena at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Sturt Sabres and 7th ranked Eastern Mavericks had identical 3-5 record. This time Sturt Sabres used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from Mt. Barker 95-73 on Saturday night. Sturt S. outrebounded Eastern M. 42-29 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Sturt S. looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Eastern M.'s players.
