The Regular Season in NBL One is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 3 rounds. The round was exceptionally exciting as four games ended with a tiny margin. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Ninth-ranked Ringwood Hawks (11-10) made lots of trouble for first ranked Raiders (17-4) in Melbourne on Saturday. Raiders managed to secure only three-point victory 107-104. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Ringwood Hawks. Knox R. looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Forward Keli Leaupepe (198-2000, college: LMU) fired 32 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. The former international point guard Tad Dufelmeier (183-1996, college: CUI) chipped in 22 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international guard Tanner Krebs (198-1996, college: SMC) produced 36 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 7 assists for lost side. Raiders have a solid three-game winning streak. Knox R. maintains first position with 17-4 record. Ringwood at the other side dropped to the tenth place with ten games lost. Knox R. are looking forward to face Ballarat M. (#8) in Wendouree in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ringwood will play at home against Kilsyth C. and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
Seventh-ranked Giants (9-10) made lots of trouble for first ranked Flames (15-3) in Rockingham. Flames managed to secure only three-point victory 82-79. However their fans expected much easier game. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Isaac White (188-1998, college: CBU) who helped to win the game recording 25 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. LaQuinton Ross contributed with 16 points and 12 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. American forward DeSean Parsons (201-1995, college: Portland St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 18 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for Goldfields G.Rockingham F. maintains first position with 15-3 record. Goldfields G. at the other side dropped to the eighth place with ten games lost. Rockingham F. will play against Willetton T. (#4) at home in the next round. Goldfields G. will play against Perth R. (#13) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
A very close game took place in Pasadena between Bearcats and Sturt Sabres. Fifth ranked Bearcats (9-8) got a very close victory on the road over 6th ranked Sturt Sabres (6-11). Bearcats managed to escape with a 2-point win 96-94 in the fight for the fifth place. Worth to mention a great performance of Keanu Rasmussen who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 32 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. At the losing side Jordan Forbes responded with 25 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. W.Adelaide B. maintains fifth position with 9-8 record. Loser Sturt Sabres keeps the sixth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Eastern M.. W.Adelaide B. will meet at home Eastern M. (#7) in the next round. Sturt S. will play against Southern T. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Illawarra H. 2 recorded a loss to Sutherland in a home game 112-120. Newcastle F. crushed Maitland on the road 116-95. Sydney C. was beaten by Hills H. on its own court 77-87. Canberra B. won against Hills H. in a road game 80-69. Illawarra H. 2 outscored HKBA Spiders at home 129-110. Logan T. recorded a loss to Mackay on the opponent's court 105-97. Gold Coast R. defeated Brisbane C. in a home game 106-91. SD Spartans beat Northside W. on the road 95-87. Rockhampton won against Logan T. on its own court 93-81. Cairns M. unfortunately lost to SW Metro P. in Runcorn 77-92. Ipswich F. managed to beat Cairns M. at home 110-96. Bendigo was crushed by Mt.Gambier on the opponent's court 89-51. Melbourne T. beat Diamond V.E. in a home game 87-77. Eltham W. won against Frankston B. on the road 98-89. Dandenong R. outscored Geelong U. on its own court 106-84. Keilor T. recorded a loss to Ballarat M. in Wendouree 79-69. Casey was crushed by Kilsyth C. at home 87-109. Sandringham S. smashed Waverley F. on the opponent's court 128-102. Geelong U. lost to Casey in a home game 71-77. NW Tasmania unfortunately lost to Sandringham S. on the road 98-100. Ballarat M. rolled over Dandenong R. on its own court 93-73. Hobart C. defeated Frankston B. in a road game 119-118. Mt.Gambier beat Nunawading S. at home 92-86. Hobart C. won against Diamond V.E. on the opponent's court 87-79. Keilor T. unfortunately lost to Knox R. in a home game 82-93. NW Tasmania was rolled over Eltham W. on the road 75-115. Perry Lakes H. was defeated by Cockburn on its own court 99-101. Lakeside L. smashed East Perth E. in North Lake 108-80. Perth R. lost to Mandurah at home 96-103. Geraldton B. outscored Mandurah on the opponent's court 115-75. Willetton T. rolled over SW Slammers in a home game 107-82. Perry Lakes H. was crushed by Lakeside L. on the road 110-91. Kalamunda ES was beaten by Warwick S. on its own court 100-110. Geraldton B. destroyed Warwick S. in Wonthella 118-98. Joondalup W. managed to outperform Goldfields G. at home 91-73.
The best stats of 16th round was 38 points (!!!), 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals by Mohamed Kone of HKBA Spiders.

Sturt S. - W.Adelaide B. 94-96

A very close game took place in Pasadena between Bearcats and Sturt Sabres. Fifth ranked Bearcats (9-8) got a very close victory on the road over 6th ranked Sturt Sabres (6-11). Bearcats managed to escape with a 2-point win 96-94 in the fight for the fifth place. W.Adelaide B. made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized New Zealand guard Keanu Rasmussen (188-2003, college: CBU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 32 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Cameron Huefner (203-2001, college: SHSU) who added 25 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American guard Jordan Forbes (193-1998, college: Salem) responded with 25 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international center Benjamin Griscti (211-2002, college: UC Riverside) scored 25 points. Five W.Adelaide B. and four Sturt S. players scored in double figures. W.Adelaide B. maintains fifth position with 9-8 record. Loser Sturt Sabres keeps the sixth place with 11 games lost. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Koop McCalop (-1994) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and Machar Machar who added 24 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Rockets players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward BJ Symons (-1998, agency: Dominion Sports Group) responded with 26 points and 7 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and guard Jackson Bowden (-2006) scored 14 points. Sutherland dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Hawks's 26. Sutherland outrebounded Illawarra H. 2 47-31 including 37 on the defensive glass. Sutherland looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized British center Jason Spurgin (211-2001, college: BGSU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and guard Lochlan Hutchison (188-1999) who added 23 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. At the losing side the former international swingman Todd Blanchfield (198-1991) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 16 rebounds and 7 assists and point guard Kobe McDowell-White (183-2004) scored 30 points and 4 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Hawks' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Sutherland moved-up to fifth place.
