26-year old forward Mikaela Ruef (190-F-90) had a great game in the last round for Canberra and receives a Australiabasket.com Player of the Week award for round 9. She had a double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds, while her team crushed Melbourne (#7, 3-9) with 24-point margin 83-59. Canberra maintains the 4th position in Australian WNBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Canberra will need more victories to improve their 7-4 record.    [read more]

WNBL Round 9: Dandenong Rangers defeat Bendigo Spirit in the game between Top 4 teams - 2 days ago

An interesting game for Dandenong Rangers (9-3) which played road game in Bendigo against second-best Bendigo Spirit (8-5). First ranked Dandenong Rangers managed to get a 8-point victory 77-69. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 77-69.
